Pilot Capless Fountain Pens

The Capless Fountain Pen was introduced by Pilot in 1964 originally with a twist action retractable nib and featured an extremely complicated internal mechanism. The Capless then evolved to feature both a push button and a click slide mechanism with Pilot eventually favouring the push button. In 1973 it was decided Pilot Capless would marketed as "Vanishing Point" in the USA.

When the push button is clicked, the nib is exposed and locked into position. When clicked again, the nib will retract and close an air tight seal simultaneously, preventing the nib from drying out. The Capless fountain pens can be used with both ink converters, for use with bottled ink, and ink cartridges.

Find Pilot Capless Fountain Pens below with colour and nib options available. In each product description you can find information on the nib that comes with each individual as well as info on the materials each pen is manufactured in. Each capless comes with with an ink converter and gift box.
